Mamma Mia!
Mill Mountain Theatre
Directed by Travis Kendrick
"Full-Throated Star Power at MMT
Every so often Mill Mountain Theatre is presented the opportunity to reassert itself as one of America's premier professional regional theatres. That opportunity showed up last night with 'Mamma Mia!, directed by Travis Kendrick. A full house gave a rousing minutes-long, clapping, singing ovation as the company finished the evening in full disco mode, warmth and excitement flowing from the company through the audience.
This production was head-turning from its full-throated star power to the direction, which has to be some of Kendrick's best work."
-Dan Smith, Fromtheeditr
"Mill Mountain Theatre Rocks Out To ABBA In Mamma Mia!
'With a bit of rock music everything is fine,' and so it is for Mill Mountain Theatre's production of Mamma Mia. This show blasts the past into the present. The hard-working ensemble, under the capable direction of Travis Kendrick, bring energy and enthusiasm. Mamma Mia! is a show rooted in memory, but emotionally fixed in the present. 'You can dance. You can jive. Having the time of your life at Mamma Mia! now at Mill Mountain Theatre."
